Susan Ichabod, Jr. was named after her mother, Susan Ichabod Sr., who was a sci-fi fan just like her husband. Because of her parents' interest in the genre, Susan Jr. quickly became acquainted with every movie and TV show made under the category. She also became fond of paranormal topics such as cryptozoology, aliens, and ghosts.
